About Quist & Quist CPAs

At Quist & Quist CPAs, you’re not working with a corporate firm—you’re working directly with us.

We’re Nathan and Heath Quist, brothers who built this firm around something simple: real relationships and practical advice for business owners.

We take our work seriously—but we don’t take ourselves too seriously.

Outside the office, you’ll find us backpacking in the mountains, riding dirt bikes, or spending time with our families. That balance is important to us, and it shapes how we approach our work with clients.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about tax returns and numbers—it’s about helping you build a business that supports the life you actually want.

We help clients with tax returns and ongoing accounting support, including bookkeeping and payroll, so you have a clear picture of where your business stands and where it’s going.

When you work with Quist & Quist CPAs, you’re not passed off to layers of staff or stuck in a system. You work directly with us—people who understand what it’s like to run a business, make decisions, and think long-term.

We specialize in working with small business owners and real estate investors who want clear guidance, proactive planning, and a long-term partner—not just someone who files their taxes once a year.

Meet the Owners

Heath Quist, CPA

I’m Heath Quist, a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and co-founder of Quist & Quist CPAs.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Utah State University and went on to complete a Master of Taxation at Weber State University. Early in my career, I worked at a specialized firm focused on hedge funds, gaining experience in complex tax structures and high-level financial reporting.

From there, I worked with several smaller CPA firms where I focused on tax preparation, review, and multi-state taxation, primarily for small businesses and real estate investors. I also spent time as a Finance Manager at St. Luke's Health System, where I gained additional insight into financial operations and internal reporting.

Over the past eight years, I’ve built and grown my own CPA practice, working closely with business owners on tax returns, bookkeeping, payroll, and ongoing advisory. That experience has shaped a practical, hands-on approach—focused on helping clients understand their numbers and make better decisions throughout the year.

Now, partnering with my brother Nathan, we’ve combined our experience to build a firm centered on long-term relationships, proactive planning, and straightforward advice.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, as well as running, dirt biking, and backpacking.

Nathan Quist, CPA

I’m Nathan Quist, a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a co-founder of Quist & Quist CPAs. I earned my undergraduate degree in Accountancy and my Master of Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation from Brigham Young University. My career began at one of the nation’s largest CPA firms, where I gained extensive experience working with multi-billion-dollar corporations and navigating complex accounting and financial reporting environments.

While that big-firm foundation shaped my expertise, my true passion is partnering with small business owners. I’ve spent years helping entrepreneurs improve their accounting and finance processes, implement and execute strategic tax planning, strengthen reporting, and transform their numbers into meaningful insights. I love empowering business owners with clarity and confidence so they can make informed decisions, grow strategically, and build the business they envision.

As a born-and-raised Idahoan, I’m proud to serve clients in the state I call home. Outside of work, you’ll often find me backpacking through Idaho’s mountain ranges, riding dirt bikes, white-water rafting, or simply exploring the incredible landscapes our state has to offer with my family.

My goal is to provide expert guidance, reliable partnership, and a robust financial foundation—so your business can thrive.
